Daily Hope, Happy Birthday, Thank You Agronomy Team for the outstanding course presentation.

Happy Birthday Mom 68th dinner night before. First time in 3 decades I got to eat dinner and breakfast the next day with Mom on her birthday. Safe travels to Rock N Roll Hall of fame & Indians game today! Both parents still work full time and mom works 3 jobs. She’s part owner of Childcare Unlimited, a College Professor, and a marriage counselor specializing in addiction! God Bless Mom! People ask me when I accepted Christ in my life which was before “time out” seats for troubled children in trouble and I said I had Jesus since day one because they always said they were beating the devil out of me when I got a whoopin’ or a correction for a better redirection. Now parents can’t touch a child and I don’t have children so I have no comment other than a general observation of how children are today. On a side note  I did get kicked out of the Cherub Choir when I was 3 or 4 by the director when we lived in Suffolk, Virginia. And that must have been difficult because Mom was the director.
Big Thank you & Great job to my staff for the presentation of the courses yesterday for our first outing and to Nationwide for making Foxfire Golf Club your choice!

“No one who gossips can be trusted … but you can put confidence in someone who is trustworthy” (Proverbs 11:13 TEV).

Trust in a relationship is what makes the difference between an acquaintance and a friend. You talk to acquaintances, but you trust your friends.

You need at least one person in your life that can be a safe person for you, where you say, “I can share anything with that person. He’s not going to look at me crossways. She’s not going to reject me. He’s not going to dump me. She’s going to be there.” You need a safe person who you can share everything with — your fears, your doubts and insecurities.

It’s essential that what is said between you and that person remains confidential. And for you to be a safe person for someone else, you have to commit to confidentiality too.
The Bible says that you build trust in a friendship by keeping confidences: “No one who gossips can be trusted … but you can put confidence in someone who is trustworthy” (Proverbs 11:13 TEV).
Do you have a safe person in your life? If not, pray about it and ask God to help you find someone you can trust enough to share your fears, your doubts and insecurities. And how about you? Are you ready to be a safe person for someone else? Talk to God about that and ask him to prepare you for helping someone else. You may not be ready yet, but he will prepare you as you follow his direction.
Talk It Over
Would your friends describe you as a trustworthy person? Why or why not?

What can you determine about the person who gossips to you?

How should you respond when someone initiates gossip with you?

Happy Easter, RUC

Mark 16:15-18

15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”

Happy Easter to everyone who reads this across the world! Nancy and I have many friends, family, preachers, lawyers, doctors,  and teachers across the globe and yes that composes most of my family too! Oh, and I have  my own personal Judge- he mows the greens! What an outstanding dependable Judge! I defer to him for many rulings! You know who you are and what state or country you are in! We pray daily for y’all! God continues to be truly amazing and I would have never imangined the amount of people my blog reaches. Thank you to Rev. Ben my first cousin, who set up the site for me. He and his wife are brilliant Duke alumn and have an editing entity. Nancy and I been blessed to work with and meet many wonderful people from all over the country and in many other countries over the years.

On March 16, which would have been the Reverend Robert Lee Nicks’s 100 year birthday, one of my grandfathers, I recorded 2 radio segments for Mrs. Catherine Wood and her wonderful organization that Nancy and I support along with my parents and siblings. Why me? You’ll have to listen to both shows! It is a story of God’s grace, redemption, and mercy! But most importantly Hope for everyone! Great meeting Bob Burney! He has the afternoon show!

Below is a copy of Catherine’s bio and a link to Relationships Under Construction. She and her staff go in to the school houses of the public where they are not permitted to mention God and teach children about healthy relationships.  Their savvyness and talents God has given them is beyond comprehension. Nancy and I do not have children but if we did and they had to go to a public school house they would have a Bible in their backpack, and I would want them hearing her message. The first segment is a minute (small) portion of what her program does ergo I was unable to mention God but next Saturday’s segment will be God’s testimony through me that all the world should hear! I prayfully encourage you to go to her website and donate any amount that you can afford, but most importantly pray for her oraganization the relies on donations. Catherine did not ask me to say that part nor put this on my web page. I have copied excerpts from her web page below!  So if your in Ohio today turn on and tune in the radio to 880 AM!

For to the snow he says, ‘Fall on the earth,’ likewise to the downpour, his mighty downpour.

Top 2 photos are about sixty feet above the water and all the way across on the other ridge it’s about 75 to 80 feet above the water or ice!
The ledge below is about 25 feet straight down to the ice surface and then another 80-125 feet down below that is the bottom of the quarry!

Pilot Mountain Sunrise

I was able to capture this beautiful sunrise on our trip back to Ohio on Monday as we climbed up the oldest mountain chain in North America. The view is from Virginia overlooking the Piedmont of North Carolina!

Just South of Mt. Airy and Mayberry if you ever saw the show this is still the place to go! The snow is on the other side up in Beckley.
