Happy 4th Of July! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

We have had two weeks in a row with the highs in the upper 80’s to mid 90’s and for C3 grasses that is not ideal. The weather should break tomorrow for a few days, but we sprayed our last fungistat on the foxfire fairways today. My earlier repost from Novotny was about and in reference to the Grass going quiescent or semi-dormant. Mark explains it in layman’s terms where I would go in to detail about the bundle sheath cells, carbohydrate partioning, and the plant shutting down. The evening temperatures have not been cool enough for the plant to transpire “breath” so we are just hanging on. This is not a time to punch holes in the ground or anything like that. I believe for only having one pump on Players Club and the funds spent we are doing well above average regionally and nationally.

The brown line behind the Flag is from the greens sprayer breaking down and is man made the actuator malfunctioned on the 1993 model. It happens.

Pray & Spray is all we can do!

We have Z generation and baby boomers for our staff and this Z Gen. is the best of those but the baby boomers are the best workers. Z-Gen is below Millineals.

Great seeing this guy Mike a former member came all the way back up from Coco Beach, FL to play Players Club. That’s Coach talking golf.

This is what the greens, tees, and fairways would look like if we did not treat them. Rough on 2 Fox covered in mycelium.

Chuck mowing the high grass areas. Chuck was in Vietnam. He doesn’t miss any workdays. So we are transitioning through some Z-gen staff members for lack of participation.

Water time window with 1 pump on Players & 2 on Foxfire. I had to recalibrate the entire hydraulic tree data on site pro 3 years ago when the other pump went down and we have not replaced it yet due to funding.

Jimmy rebuilding an engine.

Great Match at Rattlesnake last week. CEO Brian Laurent of COGCSA and OTF won but I had em’ close at the turn and out drive him on 10.

Great conditions Kyle. Thanks for the hospitality sir. It’s always great to come home. My bunker below. Bag before match at Rattlesnake.

Have a safe and Happy 4th & Weekend. Please continue to Pray. See you on the Course.
