Frost Delay Bunker Work Tournament Preparation and Foxfire Irrigation System is Charged!

Frost Delay this morning and most likely tomorrow! Thank you everybody for your help this week! We have had another inch of rain and two straight days of 20 to 30 mph winds. Flowers are starting to bloom!

Range got mowed out to the wet area! The Polywog/Shellback found it. Chuck 27 year Navy Veteran knows that’s a complement! If you have never heard of a Shellback ask them.

1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.

Progress, Rain, Staff Increase to 6 for 36!

“If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.”(Ecclesiastes 11:4 TLB)

Progress has been made the last two weeks and I want to thank Mark Novotny again for the use of his grinder for the other greens mower reels! Thank you Bill for moving the water out of traps and cart paths! Paula great progress on tree, bunker, and rough! The product to erradicate dandelions and prevent crabgrass will go out in the next two weeks! Timing, historical data, resources, and weather are imperative to continuing this process! Jim, the new equipment manager is progressing well and accomplishing many tasks!

Westchester grinder above and parking lot last Tuesday. Couldn’t find a place to park he had so much staff there!

Jim ground the reels while I set up the angle on the bed knife grinder! A brand new 2015 set of grinders can cost 30-50K.

New starter and alternator were added to the Toro 3150 Triplex. This is our newest model with over 6200 hours. We are trying to adjust the Venturi’s and tappets so there will be enough pressure to create a spark. The hours are equivilant to 600,000K miles on a Porche  BMW !

2 Foxfire first cut of three for this week. The bluegrass is growing much faster than the bentgrass fairways on The Players Course.

The only set back of the week was my Titleist golf  clubs were stolen out of my  office! Priceless! God will provide, and I am grateful they didn’t steal Nancy, my wife!

Or my former dead brother-in-laws hat from the Naval shop he served on! May God rest is soul!

Moving on, more mowing took place this week and it looks much better!

It’s wet an afternoon AAA run is part of the progress for  these stripes!

First Cut on Fairways, Tees, & Rough!

Weather report for the day comes from the book of

Matthew 16:2

He answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’Matthew 16:3 And in the morning, ‘It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.’You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.

Thank you all for your help! Tom mowed the first cut on the Players Tees Tuesday, and Paula was able to mow rough yesterday on Foxfire. Brad got the first cut on fairways complete on Foxfire and we will mow Players fairways today! Jose is mowing tees on Foxfire today and Luis will continue preparing the traps.

Frost gave way to mid sixties yesterday!
